Kappa Delta Pi

Kappa Delti Pi - Nu Beta BannerKappa Delta Pi, an International Honor Society in Education, was established in 1911 at the University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois. It exists for the purpose of promoting professionalism and excellence in teachers and to recognize outstanding contributions in the field of education. The Nu Beta Chapter of Olivet Nazarene University, which was chartered in 1973, invites juniors and seniors with a minimum grade point average of 3.2 who are majoring in various fields of education. Candidates must exhibit commendable personal qualities, worthy educational ideals, sound scholarship, without regard to race, color, religion or sex. Candidates who join Kappa Delta Pi pledge to the ideals of faith in improving the education of children and young people, developing an inquiring mind, serving the community, and willingness to work for the objectives of our profession.
