Frequently Asked Questions
Who do I send timesheets to?
- The Secretary (look on the Council page)
How much are dues?
- $5
Why do we have to pay due?
- We have to pay dues because that is how we are able to help schools. Example: During the 2007-2008 School year we were able to help out the schools in Watseka after a flood. This allowed us to help them out, as well as donate books. Just like any other organization there needs to be a way to fund activities that may be done for that year, such as guest speakers, seminars, or helping schools.
When can I join SEA?
- Anytime. You can join in the middle of the school year if you want to.
How many hours do I have to complete?
- 16 hours over the course of one year (Fall and Spring Semester)
What does Opportunities in the Community include?
- An Opportunity in the Community is its own program in SEA. If you have an opportunity to work with children that SEA does not already make available to you, it is an Opportunity in the Community. Examples include the following: Coaching, Sunday school teacher, YFC, Urban Children's Ministries, Tutoring (volunteered or paid positions). You can only gain 8 hours all together of Opportunities in the Community to put towards your total of 16 hours for the year.
